Did I Pick The Right Opportunity?

Have you ever joined a network marketing company and after a few months asked yourself, “Did I pick the right opportunity?” In the network marketing industry it’s common for a person to jump from company to company. When a new marketer joins a company they usually come in with high expectations:

“90 day blitz and I’m rich (I wish)!”

“My friends and family are going to love this (They hated it)!”

“This is going to be so easy (It’s hard)!”

Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t have high expectations and big goals. If you’re going to make it in the network marketing profession, you’d better have big goals and dreams and be willing to pay the price for success. Work your plan with the understanding that there will be adversity, and going through that adversity will better prepare you for teaching your team how to deal with problems that may happen.

Again, you may ask the question, “Did I pick the right opportunity?” Here are some points to consider:

How Long Has The Company Been In Business?

If a company has been in business for awhile, that may be an indication that it’s solid. Most companies, that do not have a good business model, usually do not last long. There are a few network marketing companies that have crappy business plans but great products, and they’re able to sustain; but that is far and few.

Does The Product Or Service Suit You?

If you are going to sell a product or service, it might be a good idea to actually use what you are offering. Therefore, when you are talking about it you are talking from a place of experience. So make sure it’s a product or service you want.

Is There A True Need For The Product Or Service?

If you pick a company that offers an outdated product that no one has any use for, you are wasting your time.  You want a product or service that the masses can use to make their lives better. So make sure what you are offering meets a need and/or solves a problem.

Your Upline Is Committed To Your Success

One of the main things you should look for is whether or not team leaders are committed to making sure you are trained, so that you can have the best chance of being successful. Do they offer weekly training meetings? Do they have training products you can purchase? Are there video conferences or telephone conferences where you can receive training on how to best grow your business?

Can You Build It Part Time While Working A Full Time Job?

Majority of people in the network marketing business work their business part time . If you do not already have a team of people who are ready to join you, it’s probably best to start out working your business a few hours a week. Your full time job can help you pay for auto ship, for marketing , and for all the things you will need until your business can pay for itself .

“Did I pick the right opportunity?” If you are happy and making money, I would say, “Yes you did!” Just make sure the company has a great community of people who offer support, training and leadership.
