SHOULD YOU CREATE A PRESENTATION OR NOT, IF YOU’RE IN A NETWORK MARKETING COMPANY?
I’ve talked to a couple of experts in the network marketing business about this subject because I thought it would be a good idea to make my own video presentation. The following are some ideas I shared with them:
- When people watch the presentation they will see me.
- It’s my voice they will hear, so won’t that portray me as the authority?
- Being seen as the authority is important, right?
- If I’m in the video telling prospects about the company’s products, services and benefits, won’t that prove I am a leader and better my chances of getting them to join my opportunity?
- Doesn’t everyone want to be under a great leader, so he or she can teach them the process of how to grow their own business?
Based on the above ideas, creating my own presentation seemed like the way to go! However, as I said, I talked to a couple of experts and they did not agree with me.
WHY SHOULDN’T YOU CREATE A PRESENTATION?
I thought I gave a pretty good argument on why the network marketer should create his or her own custom video presentation, until one of the experts said, “If your prospects see you in the presentation, they may feel like the only way they can be successful is if they create a custom video presentation.”
Man oh man! I don’t want to put that type of pressure on someone, especially if he or she is brand new to the industry. So, the experts got me thinking! Maybe I should do it the way they do it.
HOW DO THE EXPERTS DO IT?
The experts use tools like a video of the presentation created by the company. Why is this better for the network marketer than a custom presentation? It can be duplicated. The brand new network marketer can take the presentation and start leveraging the tool right away.
My friend David told me that when he first got started in network marketing he had no idea what he was doing. He was afraid to talk to people because he didn’t want to be rejected. But, he also knew this was his ticket to a better life. So, he made a decision to get as many eyeballs on the presentation as he could, and sure enough, he ranked up and earned himself a nice BMW!
SHOULD YOU EVER MAKE A CUSTOM PRESENTATION?
You should make a custom presentation, if your network marketing company doesn’t have one or if the one they have is of poor quality. Now some network marketers will create a video to put on YouTube because it’s a search engine. So if someone is looking for your particular company, they may find you, which is another way you can get sign ups for your business.
