What motivates you?
Either aspiration or desperation brings motivation. In fact, aspiration is great for motivation! You may want a new house or a new car which inspires you to work harder. You may want your kids to attend the best schools and receive the best education. Maybe you want your friends and family to look up to you as a role model, your son to view you as his hero, or your daughter to see you as her night in shining armor. Perhaps you want to be just like your dad or grandpa. You might even remember how a teacher told you that anything is possible if you just believe and take action.
Although aspiration motivates many, others tend to be ignited by desperation. When your back is up against the wall, you’re down on your luck, or you hit rock bottom, that’s when you finally realize that something must be done. Maybe you’re living in your parents’ basement knowing they don’t really want you there. When your home is in foreclose, your car’s about to be repossessed, and the gas and electric are about to get cut off, you have no choice but to make a change.
Aspiration and desperation can both be great for motivation. Whatever your motivation is, the most important thing is to take action and not procrastinate. Do the things that will help you grow as a person and help your business grow!
