Recruiting Friends and Family

cropped-cropped-mark.jpgRecruiting friends and family members can be easy for some people and difficult for others. Some seem to be able to say anything to persuade friends and family members to join their business opportunities. On the other hand, there are others, who could offer silver and gold, and still have no success at recruiting. Why is that? Do some have a better script to follow? http://wardfun.myprospectingplaybook.com

Or do they just somehow know when the time is right to present the opportunity? Maybe they have a lucky pair of shoes they wear while recruiting? Is it possible some have good luck, while others are just unlucky?

I don’t think it is any of those things. I believe the reason one person can recruit friends and relatives, while another cannot, is because of REPUTATION. Let’s face it! Before any of us became network marketing pros and started selling products and marketing our services, we presented ourselves in a certain light, and that’s how our friends and family view us.  For instance, there are two types of people: (1) The Well-Respected  (2) The Not So Respected or Disrespected. The well-respected person can usually convince people to take a look at the products and services being offered because he or she has a reputation of being prosperous, accountable and reliable.

So how does the person, who is not so respected by friends and family, persuade those same individuals to check out what he or she has to offer? Should the focus be on how much money can be made? That’s not a good idea, if you’re known for being broke. Who is going to listen to an individual, who is always broke, talk about making money? Instead, such a person has a better chance of recruiting by leading with the product. Here’s an example:

“Hi Cousin June Bug! I just started this new project, and I think the product is great! I would appreciate it if you would sample it and give me some feedback.”

Most people won’t have a problem giving feedback. If they like what they see and find it to be valuable, then you stand a greater chance of recruiting them. Your main objective is to get their eyeballs on your business opportunity.

Moreover, if your friends and family are still not convinced because they THINK they know you, don’t be disheartened! Focus on recruiting outside of your inner circle. As your business grows, those who may be skeptical now, will more than likely want to be a part of your team later. Everything happens in its own time.

P.S.  If you  want  to  generate  leads online,  this is the system I use.  http://wardfun.getmlspmastery.com
